air." carl cameron is following governor romney in dallas. fundraising is going on now. i guess opening up fundraisers and press to cameras is in response to the video. is that right? >>carl: well, the romney campaign has been planning it for several weeks and today is the first time in the 2012 they let cameras into the fundraisers, the irony it is amid the controversy over the fundraiser that took place last may in florida. he did not back away, and he has been making the argument throughout the campaign that the obama policy, the obama agenda, contributes to a dependency society and a culture across the country of a sense of entitlement. that is what romney said last night in the news conference called and got the press up at 10:00 eastern time saying it is not about the obama liberal base but making the remarks from the original tape not his base, but it is about the folks in the middle. here is how he described it. i said among those that pay no tax, approximately 47 percent of americans, i'm not likely to be highly successful with a message of lowering taxes. those who rel

correspondent carl cameron on the phone from l.a. how is this debate here in california or at least the contest important? >> reporter: for california and mitt romney it's important about the money. he has raised in the last few days around los angeles and san san francisco some $9 million. no one expects him to be competitive in the general election. tomorrow he will be going to colorado and first time he has been there in seven weeks. so much time has been spent fund-raising. he has taken a fair amount of heat from republicans in conveying ideas. he will go to colorado tonight, exactly ten days before the first presidential debate will take place in colorado. its clear signal from the romney campaign they hit the state seriously and they have an opportunity to win. tomorrow paul ryan will kick off a bus tour in ohio and romney will join him on tuesday. leaving los angeles now headed for colorado for the event in denver tonight. remainder of the week he plans to accelerate it pretty hard. this is the first weekend he has worked fund-raising both saturday and sunday in more than a month. there

tonight. first, let's get to carl cammeron he is live in miami. it sounds like governor romney went on the offensive today. >> well, dueling sound bites and campaigns. romney took the opportunity to counter offensive really going after president obama for his assertion that a government system needs to be designed that could pool resources to better affect the redistribution. romney went at him hard today, as did all republicans with ads and videos and direct mail and radio and tv commercials. watch. >> this idea of redistribution follows from the idea that if you have a business you didn't build it someone else did that the president saying yes he believes in redistribution. i don't. i believe the way to lift people and to help people have higher incomes is not to take from some and give to others. but to create wealth for all of us. well, the romney campaign plans to release ads, videos as i said and around the country trying to add it in congressional and senate races thinking it could be a unifying battle cry for the final six weeks. >> that said some conservatives are is still

this course. team fox coverage. chief political correspondent carl cameron. carl, i want to start with you, romney and the president both speaking at this clinton event. what can mitt romney accomplish there this morning? >> reporter: he can talk more about foreign policy. in fact he will unveil his own proposal dealing with foreign aid suggesting it be more closely linked to the opportunity opening new markets and increasing trade with developing countries. quite apart from that this is not the partisan event that lend to his strong foreign policy criticism of president forum aboutps in the road remarks or that the attacks weren't planned in benghazi when there was smuch it was orchestrated al qaeda related attack. that will come later in rallies in ohio and the campaign trail. today he will announce he is planning a major foreign policy speech in next couple weeks. details on that forthcoming. which illustrates on romney and paul ryan's campaign which was thought focused on the jobs and economy has been forced into a broadened portfolio to include foreign policy and international affairs
. first to carl cameron traveling with governor romney in florida. what can be expected now. >> this began as what was described as a victory rally in his headquarters in jacksonville. the events overnight have clearly over taken that. we expect mr. romney to say something as he's addressing supportress at the campaign headquarters about the violence and the death of the u.s. ambassador in benghazi. whether or not mr. romney then follows up his remarks here to the volunteers with an avail we are also waiting for the possibility of him taking from reporters. last night there was a statement prepared by romney at midnight. they released it a little earlier than that in which mr. romney was very critical of the cry row embassy in egypt and their statement about the violence in which they express some regret about the movie trailer that many of the terrorists and riot teres incited violence on the u.s. in egypt and lebanon. he says it's disgraceful that their first response was not to -- there had been rhetoric in the mission statement saying that the u.s. deplores anything critical of any rel
